Need advice to live in Arizona

hi i'm Falcum Terence, i just want to ask for those who know about living there in arizona. Im a Filipino who have a girl friend from TUCSON for almost a year, we have plans to get married on december or january. she came here to me twice in the philippines but were planning to get married, i just want to know where it is best to marry here in the philippines or there in arizona? and the rest i will ask from this site someday. thanks and live happy there.

Hello Falcum, Kumusta po? From what I know, you have 2 options:

1. If you marry in the Philippines, you'll be petitioned as an immigrant (green card holder) ALREADY here in the US, and can possibly come here to the US within 6 months to a year.

2. If you marry in the US, you'll be petitioned here as a CONDITIONAL immigrant, and will need 2 years more before being granted as immigrant (green card holder). But you can stay in the US to work while waiting.

I'm not sure what you should prefer. It depends on your priorities. I hope our other kababayans can contribute here too and help you decide better. :-)
