this is me with alot of make up on

Im a darkskinned African American girl with a family full of lightskinned women!! All of my siblings are lightskinned because i have a different father from theirs. I'm the only with acne and i desperetly scrubed my face with an exfoliation soap(i know it was a bad idea)which was extremly painful afterwards. The acne was gone but it left horrible dark marks all over my already dark face! My face and my neck as well as my back side are the darkest! its been so hard because were im from (ATL) the men love lightskinned women. Every since i was little my siblings called me "black ass" and "tar baby" and yesterday my mother my very own mother who is lightskinned (im starting to cry lol)said "i have a blackskinned daughter hahaha my daughter is blackskinned, let me see your black face". That hurt me so bad! Afterwards she said she was joking but those "joking" coments hurt! Ive tried bodybleach serum which left light blotches on some parts of my body, ive tried hydroquinone 2% which caused my face to shed dead skin which looked horrible it looked like my face was dirty and it shed constantly for nothing because my face got no lighter it was still plain, dull, and dark! Right now i use likas papaya soap which worked very little after using for 3 months. the results are not noticable and once again i washed my face to hard with the soap and my face is darker. Why does this have to happen to me?

I see this site advertised all the time on yahoo answers which made me a little suspicious until i actually check this wonderful site out and totally fell in love with you and your site Maria!

I had to choose between Meladerm and your products and i chose yours! i hope this the one lol the one that will get rid of all my problems! If you dont know who Beyonce is, google her lol, she is gorgeous with a beutiful lightskinned complexion(like yours Maria lol)and her skin just stands out and people cant help but to notice her skin! I was wondering if i stay truthful to your products will my skin glow, become really light, and stand out like Beyonce's? I seen some pics of skin peeling(not chemical) and it looks disgusting lol and i was wondering do you have a pic or can you describe in detail of what the skin looks like when it peels after using the products. Has any of your darkskinned african american customers become lightskinned after using your products? if so how long did it take for them to see the results. I want to lighten all the skin on my body, can i do that with your products? Maria i hope this is the product! please respond to my question.

Hi Melissa, first off, you're such a darling.. and a funny one at that! Despite all your dilemma, I can sense you have a happy disposition, and that's good. I love people with a positive attitude regardless of their problems.

So let's take a look at what you're experiencing now.

Here are the directions on how to use the products properly, since you bought all 4 of the skin lightening products. I want you to remember them -

Directions:
Black Soap - as daily facial wash, leave on face for 1-3 minutes daily. A week thereafter, increase leave on time to 2-10 minutes.
Papaya Soap - as daily body wash, leave on time as black soap for first week. Leave on time should be lessened once burning sensation becomes a discomfort. Recommended for body use, as it might be too strong for your face.
Whitening Lotion - apply at night on neck, arms, legs, underarms, inner thighs, body where lightening is needed.
Whitening Cream - most potent of all. Apply on face (to include the dark spots) daily at night, dark elbows, knees or targeted dark body spots.

NOTE: 15 minutes after applying the lotion and cream, apply your favorite facial and body moisturizers. This will keep skin hydrated and supple while in the skin lightening process. At daytime, apply sunscreen (a MUST), SPF 45 or better. Remember, whether you use the skin lighteners daily or not, the moisturizers and sunscreen should be used DAILY.

Don't overuse ok? If you experience uncomfortable burning sensation because of the peeling process, simply lessen the frequency of usage of the products until you're comfortable with them.

As an option, you can take 1000mg of Vitamin C supplements daily to reinforce the skin lightening effect.

The above regimen follows this logic -
1. Skin lighteners will make skin fairer
2. Sunscreen will prevent further darkening
3. Moisturizers will keep skin rosy
4. Vitamin C enhances the lightening effect

Truth is, our African American users have used our products with success, a few without results (although with smoother skin afterwards), and one with an allergic reaction due to very sensitive skin.

Results will vary per individual's unique skin sensitivity. Some reported improvement after 3 days, others in a few weeks. Darker skin tones need more time to see results because of more melanin content. Patience will pay off with continuous use. Some give up after a month, but that's not enough.

The key to success in skin lightening does NOT rely on products alone, although quality is of utmost importance (Likas papaya soap is of commercial value). A high SPF sunscreen (for you at least SPF 45 or higher) and your moisturizers will reward you with a fairer, rosier skin tone.

And did you know this page will be our one-on-one guide on your progress? You can come back here to reach me whenever you pop up with a question or comment, so I'd know it's you and I can help you better. The volume of emails I receive is hard to pinpoint which one used this or that, or which problem they told me in a previous email. So this method solves that. I will know it's you, Melissa.

So keep me posted with your progress, and I'll always be here to take care of you ok? :-)

Maria

PS. I'm in the final stage of building an exclusive skin whitening website to accommodate more info and serve my valued users better. Watch out for it!
