Lemon Juice
by Anonymous
I have some sun damage on my upper lip, which I thought was Melasma, but so far my Doc has ruled that out. I have been using Neutrogenas Visibly Even line, as well as applying lemon juice as a compress to my face for 20 minutes a day. Will all this work or am I wasting my time and money.

Hello, lemon juice can be harsh to the skin as it is too acidic, so I suggest you stop applying it to your skin. If you've been using the Neutrogena product for a while (say, a month) without results, then I guess you're right - you're wasting your time and money.
Try the Black Licorice Soap, which is our mildest skin lightening product, because the upper lip area is thin and sensitive. Wet the soap and, lather up a bit on hands, and leave on upper lip area for 5 minutes before washing off. Do this 1-2x a day. The dark skin layer will start to peel off and resurface a lighter skin tone.
Hope that helps. :-)
