If your pursue a pre-move visit, get your travel documents processed 4 months in advance of your departure. Have authenticated copies of your birth certificate, marriage certificates or divorce decrees ready. Some documents require months to be acquired. An appropriate visa and up-to-date passport are your primary travel essentials.
If you’ll be driving around your new city, obtain an international driving permit from your host country. But be sure to check the laws regarding driving permits on the country you are relocating.

Look for services that you will need – gas stations, hospitals, banks, post office, convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants. Learn the necessary safety precautions before you move in that area. Know the country’s rules and regulations on general behavior, curfews, traffic, etc.
If you’re moving with a pet, check if it’s allowed first. If so, your pet should have a health and rabies certificate from your veterinarian. Arrange the necessary permits prior to international relocation to Arizona. Be careful to consider the costs and your pet’s age and breed before you decide to bring it along because a quarantine can last for months.
