Effect of product on tattoos?

My inner thighs and underarms need the most lightening, but I am looking for overall general lightening as well. But I have one concern. I have a few tattoos which I do not want ruined or faded.
Even if I am careful not to directly apply the soap, cream, or lotion to the tattoos or areas directly surrounding them, is it possible for them to still be lightened by whatever runs off while I am rinsing in the shower?
Also, if I attempt to lighten my whole body, but avoid the tattooed areas, will it look strange and noticeable?

Hi Jae, the underarms and inner thighs are considered sensitive and thin skin parts. The skin lightening cream can be applied thinly (to do this, make sure skin's a little wet for easier application) and every other day for the first week to test skin sensitivity. If skin starts to peel, lessen the application to only 2-3x per week until you reach the desired even skin tone.
Regarding the tattoos, avoiding these areas won't significantly lighten them. Just soap running through is ok, but not leaving it on (the soap) for several minutes. The skin lightening process involves peeling of outermost and unwanted dark skin layer, so just make sure you don't include the tattoo areas when you leave on the soap on skin for minutes. Skin lighteners won't remove tattoos, and worst case is just fade them. Even when the tattoos appear to have lightened just a bit because you really can't avoid them, your overall lightened skin tone would serve to highlight the tattoo designs because of a "whiter" background. :-)
