Casa Grande-Arizona
Casa Grande-Arizona is between Phoenix and Tucson, the largest town in Pinal County.
Casa Grande is a rapidly growing city located directly off of U.S Interstate-10, approximately halfway between Phoenix and Tucson.
Also priceless in its prehistoric heritage, Casa Grande-Arizona is the ruins itself, one of the largest and most mysterious in North America, and is the US’ first archaeological preserved site by the federal government.
It has a population of over 30,000 residents with 32 years old as the median age.
History based the economy of Casa Grande on rural, agricultural industries such as cotton and dairy farms.
Later, the city has become home to many Phoenix or Tucson urbanites who own homes in Casa Grande. Most residents either commute to work in the Phoenix metropolitan area or in Tucson.
The trend has contributed to growth of the service industry of Casa Grande. New businesses such as restaurants, gas stations, and retail outlets are opening all over the city to keep up with demand from the growing population.
An outlet mall operates in southern Casa Grande serving many local patrons and highway travelers.
It is foreseen that Casa Grande will be the site of a major outdoor mall, but construction dates have not been set, and the mall is rumored to have a target completion date of mid 2007. The plan will be built on a 100 acre patch of desert, and will be 900,000 square feet.
Its temperate year-round climate attracts snowbirds from colder parts of the nation during winter. It is also the site for the annual Pinal County Fair every March.
The Casa Grande Art Museum exhibits works from sculpture to multimedia. This town has 2 senior centers, community pool, 4 golf courses, several parks, archery range and rodeo facilities.
